Try Before You Buy

At North West Saddles, we understand that finding the perfect saddle is a deeply personal experience. Our Saddle Trials programme allows you to try a saddle in your own environment before committing to a purchase.

How It Works

We offer two simple options to help you find the perfect saddle. 

If you’re based in the North West, you can book a professional saddle fitting appointment with us. We’ll come to you with a selection of saddles for you to try - so there’s no need to order anything in advance from the website.

This personalised service allows you to try different options and find the saddle that best suits you and your horse, ensuring the perfect fit and comfort for both of you. 

Alternatively, you can order a used saddle directly from our website and take advantage of our 5-day trial period. This gives you time to arrange for a qualified saddle fitter—at your own cost, and something we strongly recommend—to assess the fit and suitability for your horse.

If you require the saddle for a specific date, please let us know at the time of ordering, your trial begins the day the saddle is delivered.

During the 5-day trial period, simply inform us if you wish to return the saddle, and we will arrange collection. Please note that late returns will incur a charge of £5 per day, and any damage to the saddle will be chargeable.

Once the saddle has been returned and inspected, we will issue a refund minus a £40 fee to cover delivery and collection costs. Please allow 3–5 working days for the refund to be processed.
